Stay tuned for excerpts from "Phosphena"--my first year short at CalArts.
Being sent to festivals right now...

Synopsis: “Phosphena,” is a 4 minute cut-paper stop-motion animation exploring the
layers of consciousness connecting dreams, memories and death. The
animation is an intricately woven tale of love, exploring the
interconnectedness of birth and death, and the psychology of how a mind
processes these profound experiences.

*Phosphena—also known as Phosphene—is an “entoptic phenomenon characterized
by the experience of seeing light without light actually entering the
eye—from the Greek: Phos—light and phainen—to show. Phosphenes can be
directly induced by mechanical, electrical or magnetic stimulation of the
retina or visual cortex as well as by random firing of cells in the visual
system.
